Participate

If you would like to take part in our Build Your Own Bike, Community Music, Carnival Club or Climbing project, you need to be referred by your mental health professional or support worker. Please direct them to this page or pass on the email address of our Participation and Volunteering Coordinator heather@commonwheel.org.uk
If you are a member of staff at a Mental Health Hospital or Care Home and are interested in our music sessions, please follow the information on our Inpatients or Care Homes pages.

Refer

If you are a mental health professional or support worker and would like to refer someone to our Build Your Own Bike, Community Music, Carnival Club or Climbing project, please fill in the referral form or email heather@commonwheel.org.uk for more information.
Every project has several intakes each year. See table below for the current status of each project:

If your project is open to referrals then please fill in our referral form. However, please only refer if you will be supporting your service-user for 3 months after the likely next intake date as we require you to be a point of contact for at least the first twelve weeks of your service user’s time at Common Wheel. You will be our main contact should we have any concerns regarding your service user’s wellbeing during their time with us.
If your project is closed to referrals please email heather@commonwheel.org.uk to be put on an alert list for when referrals reopen.
Once we have received the form, our project coordinator will contact you to arrange an interest visit. This is a short meeting at the project with you (the referrer), your service user and a member of the Common Wheel team. Following the interest visit, if all parties agree that the project is suitable for your service user, we will contact you to arrange a start date.
